Looking for Success? Start with Statistics.

Atlanta broker Jim Crawford offers advice to agents and brokers whose previous niche is no longer working in the current market: embrace change.

“In real estate there will always be factors outside our control that we have to wrestle with to earn a good living,” says Crawford. “We must recognize our clients’ needs are not those of our recent past. They are very practical – affordability, quality, substance, and the soundness of the investment.”

Sales are happening in most markets. Examine the market statistics and sales trends and adjust your marketing strategy accordingly. Crawford suggests:

  • explore areas of real estate you once shunned
  • read and research your market statistics – look for trends
  • understand what is selling and why it is selling in your market
  • when all else fails – go back to basics

A little research can go a long way towards building your success.
