So you want to be more successful in 2011? That’s great! How are you going to get there? What does success look like? Do you have a clear vision for what success means, or is it more of a general statement like “this year, I’ll do better?”
Clearly defining your goal is an important part of achieving it. Dr. Maya Bailey suggests turning your goal into both a mission statement and an affirmation, such as: “I am so happy and grateful that I am making $500,000 or more in 2011, and I’m working 30 hours a week or less, and I am working with my ideal clients doing work I love.”
Bailey also suggests visualizing your goal clearly, and imagining what achieving it will feel like. Try to picture this outcome so clearly it becomes a movie, not just a snapshot. She also suggests looking closely at limiting beliefs and self doubts in order to remove them from your path to success.
